Celebrating "Vantage Point" 1-Year Anniversary!
It's hard to believe that it's been a year since the release of "Vantage Point: Five Perspectives To Live a Better Story".
As I reflect on the past 12 months, I feel many different emotions, but mostly I feel gratitude.
Thank You To My Readers
Taking on the writing process that spanned nearly two years, after decades of delay, to finally releasing the book, this author wondered if anyone would read it or more importantly get something out of it. After all, that was the point; to inspire people to move beyond complacency, and to get clarity about who they are and why they are here.
It's scary to "put yourself out there" leaving yourself vulnerable to any and all responses.
But it's been wonderful to hear how the book has impacted others. The feedback I receive and the conversations I've had have been so meaningful and encouraging to me.
Here are a few comments made...
"This book is well written with engaging stories and powerful takeaways..."
"Fantastic book. Easy to read and relatable..."
"Dan writes like he is sitting down having a coffee with you, a great mix of his own personal stories and guidance on self reflection creates for an easy but challenging read..."
Thank you for reading...it means more than you can imagine.
Grateful For Supportive Community
This book wouldn't have happened without the encouragement and support of my awesome wife Kathy; and knowing my family was in my corner made all the difference, especially on those days where quitting seemed like the best option; they helped me to keep going.
To my friends who listened to my ideas before they ever met the page, and my author friends who encouraged me along the journey, words aren't enough to convey all that meant.
To those who gave me constructive feedback and helped me get clearer on my message. Thank you.
To my publisher Global Book Publishing, who with with me very step of the way and guided me through the ups and downs of not only the writing process but the hard work of publishing and marketing.
To the bookstores, libraries and other outlets who would even consider this local author and offering my book.
So you see, though my name is on the front cover, there are so many names that could or should be there too.
I Welcome More Feedback
If you've read Vantage Point, I'd love to hear your reactions to it. Did it help you? Did it inspire you to make a change? Or maybe it didn't meet your expectations? I'd like to hear that too...I want to keep growing as a person and writer.
